TERMS OF USE
Rules governing access to and use of the uinterview platform
Last updated: 21 October 2026 – v1.0
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of uinterview, including https://uinterview.ai, https://app.uinterview.ai, and the related web application, features and services (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by AstravaTechnologies SARL-S, a simplified limited liability company (société à responsabilité limitée simplifiée) incorporated and existing under the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, registered with the Luxembourg Trade and Companies’ Register (Registre de Commerce et des Sociétés, Luxembourg) under number B307446, having its registered office located at 6A Avenue des Hauts-Fourneaux, L-4362 Esch-sur-Alzette, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (“AstravaTechnologies”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
When creating an account, you will be asked to agree to these Terms. Please note that by accepting these Terms by an express affirmative action you consent to be bound by these Terms. If you purchase a paid plan directly from us, the General Terms & Conditions (“GT&C”) also apply to that purchase. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (“GDPR”), and our Refund Policy explains our voluntary refund arrangements and statutory refund situations. If there is a conflict, the GT&C prevail for payment, subscription, cancellation, withdrawal and statutory consumer-remedy matters, except for voluntary refunds, which are governed by the Refund Policy; the Privacy Policy prevails for matters relating to the processing of personal data.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
-
You must be at least sixteen (16) years old to create an account. If you are under eighteen (18) or below the age of legal majority in your country, you may use the Service only with any consent required from your parent or legal guardian. Direct paid purchases may be restricted to persons who have legal capacity to enter into the purchase contract.
-
You must provide accurate, current and complete information and keep it updated.
-
Your account is personal to you. You must keep login credentials secure and must not share them or allow another person to use your account.
-
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law. Please notify us promptly at support@uinterview.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. What uinterview Does
uinterview is an AI-powered interview preparation and coaching service. Depending on the features available to your plan, the Service may analyse a CV/résumé and job description, generate interview questions, provide real-time voice interaction, transcribe responses, and generate scores, feedback, coaching recommendations and reports.
The Service is intended for interview preparation and personal development. It is not an employment agency, recruiter, educational accreditation body, professional certification service, legal adviser, immigration adviser or guarantee of employment, admission, promotion, salary or any other outcome.
4. AI-Generated Outputs
While using the Service, you are interacting with AI-enabled functionality when you use the interview and coaching features. AI-generated questions, scores, feedback, summaries and recommendations may contain errors, omissions, inconsistencies or outputs that do not reflect the view of a human interviewer or employer.
You should use AI outputs as preparation guidance and exercise your own judgment. Do not rely on the Service as the sole basis for a material professional, legal, financial, health or other high-impact decision. uinterview does not make employment decisions on behalf of employers and does not represent that its scores predict hiring outcomes.
5. Institution-Sponsored Access
A university, educational institution, employer, public body or other organisation (a “Sponsor”) may pay for or arrange access to the Service. Unless we expressly state otherwise, you still create and operate an individual user account and these Terms apply directly to your use of that account.
Where a Sponsor is the contracting payer, the commercial relationship between AstravaTechnologies and the Sponsor may be governed by a separate institutional agreement or order. You are not responsible for charges payable by the Sponsor unless you separately purchase a paid service yourself. Sponsor-funded access does not, by itself, remove any mandatory rights that apply to you as an individual under applicable law.
We will not disclose your private interview content, reports or account information to a Sponsor without your prior explicit consent, except as described in Section 6.4 of the Privacy Policy, at your request, where this is expressly disclosed to you and lawfully agreed, or where otherwise permitted or required by applicable law. We may nonetheless provide the Sponsor with aggregated statistics that do not identify you.
6. Acceptable Use
You must use the Service lawfully and in a way that does not harm the Service, other users or third parties. In particular, you must not:
-
use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, discriminatory or deceptive activity;
-
access or attempt to access another user’s account, private data, administrative interface, source code, infrastructure or non-public functionality without authorisation;
-
probe, scan, test or exploit vulnerabilities, circumvent technical protections, interfere with availability, introduce malware or conduct denial-of-service activity;
-
reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape, systematically extract, copy or reproduce the Service except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by mandatory law;
-
use automated means to create accounts or consume the Service at a scale inconsistent with the plan purchased or our reasonable technical limits;
-
use the Service or its outputs to infringe intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, personality or other rights of any person;
-
upload content that you do not have the right to use, or that contains malware or unlawful material;
-
resell, sublicense, commercially exploit or make the Service available to third parties unless we have agreed this in writing.
Where we restrict your content or your account because we consider that content to be illegal or incompatible with these Terms, we will inform you of the decision and its reasons, and you may contest it by writing to legal@uinterview.ai. Any person may notify us of content they consider to be illegal at the same address. This address is also our single point of contact for users, authorities and the European Commission under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act); communications may be made in English or French.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload or provide, such as CVs, résumés, job descriptions and interview responses (“User Content”). You grant AstravaTechnologies a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, transform and otherwise process User Content only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain and support the Service and to comply with law, subject to the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to provide User Content. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information or confidential information belonging to third parties.
We do not use User Content to train, fine-tune or otherwise improve artificial intelligence models, whether our own or those of third parties, and we do not authorise our service providers to use User Content for that purpose.
Where the Service relies on third-party AI providers, those providers process User Content solely on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions in order to provide the Service to you, and not to train, fine-tune or improve their own models. We may use aggregated or anonymised information that does not identify you and does not reproduce User Content, such as usage statistics, to operate, analyse and improve the Service. Should we wish in the future to use User Content for model training, we will do so only with your separate, prior and express consent, which you may refuse or withdraw at any time without affecting your access to the Service.
8. Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, interface, design, branding, documentation, original content, prompts, workflows and other proprietary elements, is owned by or licensed to AstravaTechnologies and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. “uinterview” and associated logos and branding may not be used without our prior written permission except as permitted by law.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and use the Service for its intended purpose during the period in which your account is active.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure, AI, speech, identity and payment technologies. Their availability may affect the Service. Where third parties process personal data, the Privacy Policy describes the relevant roles and safeguards. Third-party terms may also apply where you independently interact with a third-party service, for example a payment provider or external sign-in provider.
10. Availability, Maintenance and Changes to the Service
We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may carry out maintenance, security work, capacity management and technical changes. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, security incidents, internet failures, third-party provider failures or events outside our reasonable control.
Where you are a consumer and we materially modify a digital service supplied over time, we will do so only where permitted by applicable consumer law. Where required, we will give advance notice on a durable medium and preserve any statutory right you have to terminate because a modification negatively affects your access or use in more than a minor way.
11. Privacy and Security
Our processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy includes information about the categories of data processed, purposes and legal bases, recipients, international transfers, retention, cookies and your data-protection rights. Acceptance of these Terms is not consent to optional marketing or non-essential tracking; any consent required for those activities is collected separately.
12. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion through the available account controls or by contacting us. Cancelling a paid subscription and deleting an account are separate actions; subscription cancellation is governed by the GT&C.
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary, including for a material breach of these Terms, fraud or misuse, security risk, unlawful activity, non-payment of a paid plan, or where continued provision would expose us or others to legal or security risk. Except where urgent action is reasonably necessary, we will normally give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy a remediable breach.
After termination, provisions which by their nature should continue to apply – including intellectual property, confidentiality, accrued payment obligations, lawful data-retention obligations and dispute provisions – will continue to apply.
13. Liability and Mandatory Rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights and any applicable statutory rights relating to digital services or personal data.
To the extent permitted by law, AstravaTechnologies is not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, by your failure to follow reasonable instructions or maintain a compatible and secure device/network environment, or by unauthorised use of your account that is not attributable to us. We are not responsible for purely business or professional losses suffered by a person using a consumer account for business purposes where such exclusion is permitted by law.
Where you are not a consumer, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amounts paid by you for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or, where you have paid nothing, one hundred euros (EUR 100). This limitation does not apply in case of fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence (faute lourde).
14. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms where reasonably necessary, for example to reflect changes in law, security, technology, functionality or our business model. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least thirty (30) days before they take effect. If you do not agree with a change, you may close your account before it takes effect. Where a change materially affects an ongoing paid consumer contract, we will provide any notice and termination rights required by applicable law. A change will not retrospectively remove accrued rights or remedies.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Luxembourg law. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections that would apply to you under the law of your habitual residence where applicable. Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from bringing proceedings before courts that have jurisdiction under mandatory consumer-jurisdiction rules. If you are not a consumer, the courts of the city of Luxembourg shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
